About me

David Heron MBACP (accred), Cert Ed, Diploma in Counselling, Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Certificate in Mindfulness BUPA Recognised. Certificate in Child and Adolescent studies.
David has worked within the area of psychology since the 1990’s and was trained in hostage negotiation and crisis intervention and worked in this area for 10 years. He has dealt with numerous hostage/kidnap situations and many suicide interventions. It was whilst carrying out this work that his interest in psychotherapy and counselling was augmented. He is a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist and presently provides service to a number of employee assistance programmes, the NHS and private companies. He has also trained in mediation, life coaching and critical incident debriefing; He is qualified to diploma level in hypnotherapy. An accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy which means he is bound by their code of ethics and works within strict boundaries of confidentiality David's work with young people in schools is very rewarding and he dedicates his time to work mainly with Young People. He also works with individuals and couples. David will work to allow you to gain more understanding of self and your present issues he will introduce you to strategies which allow you to empower yourself.
