About me

Winner of 'Dietitian of the Year' 2023/2024, Emer graduated from the University of Ulster with an honours degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.

Since then, she has worked as a dietitian in some of the top London teaching hospitals. She currently works in Chelsea and remotely, balancing her time between her private clients and NHS commitments.

Her career to date includes working in many exciting areas of nutrition including public relations, radio and television and she has worked with some of the UK’s top businesses and charities. Emer has also worked hard with Hollywood actors to achieve safe weight loss for film roles.

As a regular author for BBC Good Food magazine, Emer informs families and individuals about the benefits of healthy eating and lifestyle patterns, whilst debunking nutrition myths and fads. She is regularly quoted in the media and enjoys working with journalists to help set the record straight about emerging nutrition products, faddy diets and the latest nutrition evidence.

This experience has given her a wealth of knowledge and the ability to recognise her client’s individual needs and requirements to guide them in the right direction to achieve their goals.

Areas of interest

Her areas of expertise include weight loss for the over 40s, IBS, IBD, food intolerances and weight loss. She is regularly quoted in the media and achieves excellent results for her clients. Emer
