About me
I am an HCPC-registered psychologist with over 19 years' experience helping people who feel depressed, stuck, anxious, or unusually hard on themselves often without fully understanding why.
Many of my clients grew up in families where they felt they had to manage other people's emotions, strive to be perfect, or stay quiet to keep the peace. These early patterns often live on in the form of self-doubt, people-pleasing, or a lingering sense of never being quite good enough even when life looks fine from the outside.
I use structured, evidence-based therapies including CBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, and Compassion-focused therapy to help clients make sense of what's happened to them, change painful repeating patterns, and build more emotional stability, clarity, and freedom in daily life.
Areas of interest
I work with adults (18+) and specialise in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD; eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating); anxiety disorders including social anxiety, health anxiety, OCD, panic, and generalised anxiety; depression; low self-esteem; perfectionism; work-related stress and burnout; relationship difficulties; and supporting neurodivergent adults (including Autism and ADHD) with emotional regulation, identity, and relationships.
Therapeutic approaches include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy.
