About me

I have now been practising gastroenterology for over 15 years. This included initial 5 years training in Gastroenterology from the Mersey Region during which I gained expertise in all endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP (endoscopy of bile duct and pancreas). I competed nationally for the Advanced Fellowship in the Liver Unit, QE Hospital Birmingham which is one of the most prestigious liver transplant centres in Europe. I was formally awarded speciality accreditation in Hepatology by National Training Board in 2007. In 2010 I was awarded a travelling fellowship to South Carolina, USA by the British Society of Gastroenterology to further my skills in specialised endoscopy. I was conferred Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2011.
I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals since 2007 and have been practising at Spire Murrayfield since 2011. I am examiner for Royal College of Physicians, UK.
