About me

Janis is a Counselling Psychologist chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS), Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), cognitive behavioural therapist and schema therapist, supervisor and trainer registered with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) working with individual adult patients, couples and groups. Janis is trained in a variety of theoretical models including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR), schema therapy, compassion focussed therapy (CFT), comprehensive resource model (CRM), sensorimotor psychotherapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as
well as in psychodynamic, existential-phenomenological and mindfulness-based psychotherapy working
with patients on brief, medium and long-term basis.
