About me

My professional journey as a consultant cardiologist has been diverse and rich. I have worked in intensive care and interventional cardiology in various countries, including Finland, Sweden, and Sudan. These international experiences have honed my skills in managing complex patients. Between 2010 and 2023, I worked across two sitesNorfolk and Norwich and James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trustsand lectured at the University of East Anglia. My clinical work focused on advanced interventional methods for acute heart attacks, acute coronary syndrome, and stable angina. I also was in a service lead role and head of the clinic for several years.
My holistic approach to patient care is rooted in my diverse background and unwavering commitment to continuous learning. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition. This philosophy is reflected in my additional qualifications, including certifications in Emotional Intelligence and various coaching disciplines, which enable me to support my colleagues and patients with empathy and understanding.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy traditional Korean martial arts, motorcycling, and blues and jazz music. I am fluent in English, Estonian, Swedish, Finnish, and basic Russian, which helps me connect with a diverse patient population.
My personal and professional experiences have taught me the importance of passion, energy, purpose, vision, values, and truth in life and work. I strive to bring these qualities into my practice, ensuring every patient receives compassionate, comprehensive care.

Areas of interest

My primary focus is on diagnosing and managing heart-related conditions in adults, with particular expertise in critical areas such as chest pain, heart failure, hypertension, heart valve issues, and rhythm disorders. My subspecialty expertise lies in investigations and interventions of coronary arteries. I am interested in a healthy lifestyle and
additionally, I specialise in health coaching and effective stress management.
