About me

I am a Humanistic counsellor drawing from a range of psychological theories and approaches. I am predominately person centred and seek to support and enable clients to express their thoughts and feelings about the changes and challenges they face. I have worked as a counsellor across Child and Adolescent Mental Health sevices and a counsellor in schools and organisations working therapeutically with Looked after children and their foster carers. I work with individuals and couples,including systemic work with families.A specialism is play therapy and creative arts in therapy. My PhD research focused on the role of emotions and learning in childhood which is a relevant addition to my clinical service.
