About me

I am Cristian Pena, a senior clinical psychologist and the director of Colbun Psychology.

I understand how difficult it can be for many people to reach out for help or consider starting therapy. With this in mind, I created Colbun Psychology to provide an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming space where individuals from diverse backgrounds - including the LGBTQIA+ community - can feel respected and cared for.�

I specialise in addressing depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma (PTSD), along with relationship issues, self-esteem challenges, and personal development.�

In addition to my clinical work, I have 20 years of experience consulting for organisations worldwide in the field of human rights, supporting human rights defenders and the LGBTQI community facing challenges globally.�Additionally, I serve as a guest lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire in their doctorate programme for Clinical Psychology.

�In the past, I have worked as a clinical psychologist across various NHS trusts, focusing on patients affected by cancer at University College London Hospital. I was also involved in a bereavement service at Camden & Islington NHS Trust and was part of a specialist team addressing the needs of adolescents with complex challenges at Oxleas NHS Trust.
