About me
Nicholas Ward was born in Leicestershire, educated at Loughborough Grammar School and went to Leeds Medical School. He joined Frimley Park Hospital in September 2010 as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot & ankle surgery. He graduated from Medical school in 1996 and having joined the army spent 2 years in Germany looking after the soldiers and families of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. He has subsequently served as an orthopaedic surgeon in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and South Sudan.
He carried out his basic surgical training at Frimley Park Hospital, before entering higher specialist orthopaedic training in Wessex & Oxford. He is fellowship trained, having undertaken specialist foot & ankle fellowships in Oxford, at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and in Portsmouth. His special interests are in arthroscopic surgery, forefoot surgery (bunions, arthritis, neuromas etc), foot & ankle sports injuries, heel pain, and general arthritic conditions throughout the foot and ankle.
