About me
Mr Khan specialises in all problems of knee and shoulder including bony, soft tissue and sports injury. He has particular expertise in modern arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques for multi-ligament soft tissue knee surgery and soft tissue shoulder surgery as well as total knee and total shoulder replacement.
Mr Amer Khan was educated in London and qualified from Kings College Medical School in 1994. He completed his orthopaedic training in the South-West and obtained the FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2007. He is dual fellowship trained knee and shoulder completing fellowship training in the UK, Europe and the USA, working with some of the leading pioneers in both arthroscopic soft tissue knee and shoulder surgery. Mr Khan has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2010.
He holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Orthopaedics, FRCS (Tr&Orth) and is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council.
He is committed to research and medical education. He regularly teaches on courses on shoulder and knee surgery including soft tissue sports injury and is routinely invited to lecture and teach internationally.
