I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Ross Hall Hospital, Ross Hall Clinic Braehead .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
I have been a full time senior consultant ophthalmologist and the lead clinician for oculoplastic (surgery of eye lids) and orbital services in Lanarkshire Health Board since 2008 and perform and teach complex eye surgery in Hairmyres Hospital, Lanarkshire.
As an experienced cataract surgeon I have also undergone specialist training in refractive surgery and am particularly interested and experienced in multifocal lens implantation to achieve spectacle independence following cataract surgery.
I have performed over 10,000 refractive procedures including cataract and laser vision corrections. I am also a senior lecturer in refractive surgery in the Glasgow Caledonian University Optometry Department.
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1997 and completed my basic and higher surgical training in the West coast of Scotland Hospitals. The majority of my training was based in the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology, Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow where I also completed 2 further fellowships in diseases of Retina and Oculoplastic surgery.
I am an active member of various affiliated bodies and societies such as the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
During my career I have published papers in peer reviewed journals and have been involved in the training and examining of Medical Students, Opticians and Ophthalmic Trainees. I am also an examiner for the Royal College of Glasgow Fellowship examinations.
I continue to attend seminars and conferences and am dedicated to the care of my patients and the continuous professional development of my career.
I am a founding member of Eye Care Scotland.
