About me
Mr Mathew is the Clinical Lead and Consultant Ophthalmologist at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. He also leads the cornea and external eye disease and glaucoma service.
He has a wide range of experience in the management of complex cases in his sub-specialties refractive surgery, glaucoma surgery and corneal transplants. He performs cataract surgery with special lenses to help achieve spectacle independence after cataract surgery (for both distance and near vision) using premium multifocal and toric lens to correct astigmatism.
