About me

I am a General Adult Psychiatrist with special interest in addictions and dual diagnosis (Co-morbid substance with other mental disorders).
I have clinical experience in a wide range of every aspect of general adult psychiatric problems such as schizophrenia, mood disorders and anxiety disorders etc. My particular areas of expertise are Substance Misuse (Alcohol & Drug Dependence), Mood disorders such as depression & Bipolar disorder; Anxiety disorders particularly Post-traumatic Stress Disorder; Complex Psychiatric cases; Adult ADHD/Asperger's and Medico-legal work and risk assessments. However, I do particularly enjoy most the assessment and treatment of complex, challenging and difficult to treat patients.
Since December 2002 I have been employed as a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry with Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust at the Caludon Centre in Coventry. I am proud of my achievements over the last 10 years & have been awarded Clinical Excellence Award Level 5.
I have consistently worked towards the provision of a high quality patient-centred evidence-based accessible & flexible service in both my General Adult & Substance Misuse Psychiatric practice. I have also been the lead clinician responsible for the development of the Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis Services in Coventry since 2002. I am also currently the Undergraduate Clinical Tutor in Coventry for Warwick Medical School students & also an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at Warwick University (Warwick Medical School).
