About me
Mr Sauvé is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical practice dedicated to treating patients with problems of the hand and wrist. Mr Sauve covers most aspects of hand and wrist surgery. He is an investigator for the GRIP studies (in collaboration with the NHS) researching the effectiveness of the Cartiva implant to treat thumb base arthritis. Mr Sauve is able to offer this procedure to suitable patients now privately.
Mr Sauvé is also a NHS Consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. There he combines a busy elective hand and wrist surgery practice with general orthopaedic trauma and is part of the on call rota at QA Hospital. Mr Sauve is on the GMC Specialist Register and recognised by the GMC as a trainer for junior doctors.
He graduated from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine at St Mary's Hospital, London in 1998 and undertook higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in the Wessex (Hampshire and Dorset) Deanery.
He subsequently undertook two UK based fellowships; firstly at The Hand Unit, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London and then at the prestigious Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Derby. During this time Mr Sauvé won the BSSH (British Society for Surgery of the Hand) Education prize. He was also awarded a BSSH Travelling Fellowship.
