About me

Dr Mohammed finished his training in respiratory and general medicine in Edinburgh 2009. During his training years, he had the opportunity to work with the world experts in respiratory medicine.

He then took his first consultant post at Stirling Royal Infirmary in 2009 before he moved to Whipps Cross Hospital where he is currently working as consultant chest and general physician. At Whipps Cross Hospital Dr Mohammed runs two clinics per week, lung cancer and general respiratory ones. He has taken the lead in the bronchoscopy and pleural disease services, and has established the new Pleural Ultrasound service at Whipps in April 2012 with great potential of further expansion in this service. He has trained to do the new innovative technique (EBUS) Endobronchial Ultrasound System by using the bronchoscopy and established this new service in August 2012 jointly with the Royal London Hospital where he does one session per week. As acute and general physician, he is also heavily involved with the ongoing development of the New Emergency Medical Centre at Whipps Cross Hospital and taking the lead on clinical guidelines update and clinical audit projects.
Dr Mohammed is married with 3 children, 2 girls and a boy.
