About me
Glaucoma:
• Medical management of glaucoma with eye drops
• Selective laser trabeculoplasty:
o as a primary treatment for early glaucoma to avoid drops related side effects
o as an adjunctive treatment for medically uncontrolled glaucoma.
• Surgical management of glaucoma:
o Trabeculectomy for patients with advanced glaucoma
o Combined cataract and glaucoma surgery such as combined phaco-trabeculectomy.
o Non-penetrating glaucoma surgery such as " Visco-canalostomy and deep sclerectomy" for mild to moderate glaucoma cases. This surgery is safer with less complications than the traditional Glaucoma surgery.
o Treating patients with Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma with YAG laser peripheral iridotomy and other surgical procedures such as lens extraction with Gonio-Synechialysis to widen the angle.
Cataracts:
• Routine & Complex Cataract surgery with implantation of lens to correct the refractive error.
• Experienced in performing complex cataract surgeries
• Managing cataract related acute and chronic glaucoma cases
