About me
My main interest is laser prostate surgery and currently I have performed the highest number of 50 Watt laser prostatectomies (HoLEP) in the UK (over 1600 cases in our unit) with excellent outcomes. I have presented my outcome data at national and international meetings (Europe, USA and UK) given the advantage of laser surgery and patient benefits over the traditional electrocautery surgery (TURP) and am a national mentor for laser prostate surgery around the UK. Furthermore, I am the course director for a laser prostate surgery Masterclass that I run twice yearly for Consultants who wish to learn this technique. In addition, I offer laser stone surgery and the breadth of diagnostic urology services including prostate cancer detection (PSA testing and MRI scans) and investigation of blood in the urine (haematuria) along with core urological conditions such as male and female urinary tract infections, inguino-scrotal surgery, circumcisions and continence.
