About me
My main interest is laser prostate surgery (HoLEP) and treatments for benign prostate enlargement (BPH) including Rezum and Aquablation. Currently in my unit we have performed over 2000 HoLEP cases with excellent outcomes. I have presented our outcome data at national and international meetings (Europe, USA and UK) given the advantage of laser surgery and patient benefits over the traditional electrocautery surgery (TURP). I am a national training mentor for HoLEP laser prostate surgery around the UK and teach Consultants in their units and run a HoLEP Fellowship program for senior trainees so that this skill can be disseminated and shared to the benefit of patients across the country.
In addition, I offer laser stone surgery and the breadth of diagnostic urology services including prostate cancer detection (PSA testing and MRI scans) and investigation of blood in the urine (haematuria) along with core urological conditions such as male and female urinary tract infections, inguino-scrotal surgery, circumcisions and continence.
