I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital, Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Ong qualified from the University of Melboune, Australia in 1999. He then moved over to the UK and trained in General Medicine in London, obtaining Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) (London).
Mr Ong’s Higher Specialist Training in Ophthalmology was undertaken in Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. During this time, he completed advanced subspecialty fellowship training in both medical and surgical management of retinal disorders. Between 2010-2011, Mr Ong was involved in stem cell and artificial retina (bionic eye) research in Moorfields Eye Hospital and The Institute of Ophthalmology in London.
Mr Ong was appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 2011. His specialist interests include retinal disorders ( incl Macular Degeneration, retinal vascular diseases and Diabetic Retinopathy) and also vitreo-retinal surgery in particular retinal detachment, macula disorders and complications of Diabetic Retinopathy.
