About me

Professor Hany Zayed qualified from medical school in 1994. He then completed a master degree (MSc) in 1999 before going on to complete his MD in 2004. Professor Zayed was appointed as a vascular and endovascular consultant surgeon at Guy's as well as St Thomas' Foundation Trust in 2008. He went on to lead the vascular service between 2016 - 2018. Professor Zayed has a special interest in endovascular management of arterial and venous diseases, including complex endovascular as well as open revascularisation of the lower limbs. In particular Professor Zayed has an interest in managing patients with vascular complications of diabetes. He also performs endovenous (key-hole) treatment of varicose veins as well as endovascular aortic aneurysm repairs. Professor Zayed has a wide range of peer-reviewed publications in his specialised areas of interest. He has been invited regularly to lecture in major national and international vascular conferences

Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Management of Peripheral vascular disease especially in Diabetics. Treatment of Varicose veins including minimally invasive endovenous techniques (Radiofrequency ablation, Laser ablation and foam injection), aortic diseases as well as carotid artery disease.
