About me
I am a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with over 30 years of medical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. I qualified in medicine from the University of Madras in 1993 and completed my specialist oncology training in the South East of England, followed by advanced fellowship training at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. I was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Royal Derby Hospital, where I continue to practice within the NHS alongside my private practice.
My expertise is in the non-surgical treatment of cancer, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies. I have a particular interest in the management of breast cancer, skin cancer and melanoma, brain tumours, head and neck cancers, thyroid cancer, lymphomas, myeloma, neuroendocrine tumours and gastrointestinal cancers.
I am experienced in delivering advanced radiotherapy techniques, including Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), and 3D radiotherapy, as well as concurrent chemo-radiotherapy. These modern treatment approaches enable highly precise targeting of tumours while helping to minimise exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. I also have experience using immune modulator therapies, particularly in the treatment of skin and head and neck cancers.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am actively involved in national and international clinical research studies aimed at improving cancer outcomes and reducing treatment-related side effects. My approach is centred on delivering personalised, evidence-based care, ensuring that patients receive clear information about their diagnosis and treatment options so they can make informed decisions throughout their cancer journey

My areas of interest include management of Cancers of Breast, Ear, Nose and Throat, Brain, Skin, Lymphomas/Myelomas and neuroendocrine tumors.
I am experienced in IMRT/IGRT techniques.
IMRT/IGRT/3D Radiotherapy, concurrent chemo-radiotherapy and immune modulator therapy in skin and head and neck cancers.
