About me
I am a female psychotherapist with 18 years of experience since qualification, based in central Cambridge, UK. I trained for four years as an Existential Psychotherapist and Counsellor (MA) after a Philosophy BA degree, and have a Psychology degree: PG Dip. I have also undertaken a certificate in Integrative Supervision.
I have worked as a visiting lecturer at Regent's University, School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology. My previous roles have been to lead the Bupa Wellness Trauma Support, including training Bupa counselling staff; working with teenagers in children's care homes and training their staff; and supervising trainee psychotherapists and psychologists at the Claremont Project.
My previous roles have included working as Director of Counselling at a London branch of Mind, where I provided training and clinical supervision for student psychotherapists, counselling psychologists and counsellors. I have also worked as a counsellor for Childline, Mind, Faces in Focus, The Central School of Speech & Drama, Lifeworks and Bupa EAP. I have trained and worked as a group psychotherapist and facilitated seminars on Gestalt Dream Therapy.
I am a registered member of the BACP and BPS. If you have health insurance, I am a registered therapist with Bupa.
Adults and adolescents are welcome to come and see me for weekly sessions in which you are allowed to talk about whatever is troubling you. My aim is to quickly give you a clear picture of how the difficulties you have were built up, and also how we can dismantle them, leaving you free to live your life in a happier, more confident way.
