About me

Jane is Irish American and has been living in London for over 25 years. She has had a long career in personal development facilitating growth and progress for her clients.

She studied Psychosynthesis, an approach to psychological health rooted in the work of Freud and developed by Italian psychiatrist, Dr Roberto Assagioli. She began her training in Psychosynthesis in Dublin in 1983, and continued in London qualifying first as a Counsellor in 1988 at the Institute of Psychosynthesis and later earning a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy from the University of East London in association with the Psychosynthesis Trust.

She is a senior accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and was first accredited in 1990. She is a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a founder member of the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP).

She did a monthly phone-in programme on London Talkback Radio, as a radio counsellor and she appeared on Health Matters, a television programme with Ruby Wax. She has worked on help-lines following television programmes with disturbing content. She worked on the Supportive Care Team in Hammersmith Hospital with cancer patients and dying patients in the early 1990s. She has been a trainer for the Institute for the Healing of Racism, and she has developed and run a variety of workshops for groups of people interested in personal development.

She has many years of experience working as a therapist in private practice. She also works with trainee counsellors and clients through employee assistance and with privately insured clients.
