About me
Simon is a specialist sports, shoulder and upper limb surgeon. He deals with disorders of the shoulder as well as those affecting the elbow. His ranges from elite sports injuries and rotator cuff disorders to arthritis and nerve compression problems.
Simon graduated in 1997, having trained in Orthopaedics in Yorkshire and Australia. He spent one year in the worlds leading shoulder unit, the Alps Surgery Institute (www.alps-surgery-institute.com), Annecy France under the tutelage of Dr Laurent Lafosse. He subsequently undertook fellowship training in the UK’s leading upper limb surgical unit in Wrightington (www.wrightington.com) where he learnt many orthopaedic and plastic surgery techniques.
Fundamental to his approach is taking the time to listen to and examine patients. All his treatment plans are a collaboration between himself, the therapists and most importantly yourself. He will discuss with you the different options to improve your quality of life and a return to activities and sports that may have previously not been possible.
