About me

I specialise in a wide range of general adult cardiac surgical procedures including heart & lung transplantation and mechanical circulatory support therapies.

My career as a cardiac surgeon started at the University of Naples, Italy.
In 2000 I joined Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub at Harefield Hospital to obtain further subspecialty training in complex cardiac conditions and transplantation. I moved on to complete a mitral fellowship at the Brompton in 2009 and I was appointed consultant at Harefield soon after.

I am frequently invited to lecture and present original scientific work at national and international meetings for surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and physiotherapists. I regularly teach on cardiac failure surgery for BSc students at Imperial College London.
I have written chapters in books and original articles published in a variety of peer reviewed journals
