About me

Dr Mohammed is the Cardiology Clinical for Echocardiography and Cardiac Imaging at St Helens and Whiston hospitals.

During his training Dr Mohammed took more focused subspeciality training in Echocardiography and cardiac imaging. He completed the Mersey Deanery Training Programme in Cardiology and General Medicine.

He is an established consultant cardiologist with extensive experience in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. In addition to general cardiology he is especially interested in cardiac imaging in providing accurate assessment for cardiac abnormalities. He is an active member in cardiac imaging professional societies.

Dr Mohammed has long standing experience with cardiac conditions such as angina, heart failure, valve heart disease, atrial fibrillation. He is also experienced with cardiac risk assessment prior to non-cardiac surgery, Healthy Heart checks up for cardiovascular disease screening and primary prevention advice.

Dr Mohammed supports maintaining high clinical and professional standards in his role as a Clinical Advisor to the Parliamentary Health Service (The Ombudsman) and as an Expert Witness for the General Medical Council. He also an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and assessor for admission to the GMC Specialist Register in Cardiology.
Dr Mohammed champions high clinical and professional standards in Medicine and Cardiology with the aim of achieving high standards of care individually and within teams.
