About me

Dr Tanner trained in cardiology at the Royal Brompton, Hammersmith, and St Mary’s Hospitals in London. He completed a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing at Imperial College and was appointed Consultant Cardiologist, St Richard’s Hospital in 2010 where he established a comprehensive complex pacing service. Dr Tanner also practices at the Hammersmith Hospital on a bi-weekly basis.

In 2021 he was awarded a prestigious National Clinical Excellence Award (Bronze) for his expertise and sustained and dedicated contribution to the NHS.

His commitment to clinical excellence, research, teaching and innovation have been acknowledged in his current appointments as Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, Imperial College, London, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and as Specialist Committee Member for NICE guidance in cardiology.
