About me
Ms Tzafetta is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at St Andrews’ Centre of Plastic Surgery and Burns, Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. At St Andrews’ she is a core member of the Essex Head and Neck Network and performs head and neck reconstructive procedures following cancer removal, trauma and to restore facial function and symmetry that have been affected by facial paralysis.
Ms Tzafetta obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Athens and completed all advanced plastic surgery training in the UK holding posts in Leeds and other Plastic Surgery Units throughout Yorkshire. She was awarded a Master of Philosophy from the University of Bradford, for her research work on wound healing. In 2006 Ms Tzafetta passed plastic surgery specialist examination to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons FRCS(Plast) and the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). Ms Tzafetta is a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM) and the Sir Charles Bell Society for facial paralysis.
