About me
Sam Gidwani is a senior consultant orthopaedic hand surgeon who has been based at Guy's Hospital, London since 2009.
He graduated from King's College Hospital, London in 1995 and trained in surgery and orthopaedics in London and Bristol. He spent two years carrying out specialist fellowships at hand surgery units in Oxford, Derby and Brisbane, during which he received training in advanced techniques including wrist and hand joint replacement and the management of complex wrist trauma. He worked for six months as a locum consultant at the renowned Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Derby before commencing as a consultant hand and wrist surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 2009.
His practice is exclusively dedicated to the management of hand and wrist problems, including trauma and joint replacement. He is currently a member of council for the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and a member of the hand and wrist committee of the orthopaedic data evaluation panel (ODEP).
