About me

Consultant and Clinical Lead for pain Medicine at Royal Berkshire NHS Hospital since 2010. Clinical Lead for Berkshire Longcovid NHS service. Only physician in thames valley to have qualifications in MSK medicine, Lifestyle Medicine and Pain Medicine. Completed anaesthesia and pain management training in India and UK. Trained in Oxford and a Pain Medicine fellowship in the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and University College Hospital London and National Hospital for Neurlogy and Neurosurgery.
Author of the Amazon Bestseller The Pain Free Mindset, a book for patients and public and healthcare professionals about the various ways to treat and overcome pain.

I firmly believe in the role of early intervention and the appropriate use of multidisciplinary techniques in treating pain disorders. My clinics aim to offer a comprehensive diagnostic and investigative service complemented by good support from the physiotherapy and psychology specialists. Along with utilizing a full complement of medication treatments, I also perform a variety of interventional procedures such as epidural, facet, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency lesioning, sympathetic and peripheral nerve blocks using X-ray and Ultrasound. I have got qualifications in Interventional pain practice (FIPP) from the USA and from Europe (EDRA). I regularly present in both national and international conferences and am interested in promoting high quality pain education to my patients and other health care professionals. I often hold a number of talks for GPs and other Health care professionals in my local region.

I am keenly interested in lifestyle medicine and the role of diet and nutrition in chronic pain along with other therapies that are non drug based.
