About me

Bijay is a senior Gastroenterologist with over 20 years of experience in his field offering specialist diagnosis and management of all GI and Liver diseases. After specialist medical training at Addenbrookes' Hospital Cambridge and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, he pursued Academic Research at King's College London into Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. This work was awarded a PhD by the University of London and further recognised by awards from the American Gastroenterological Association, the British Society of Gastroenterology and the British Association of Study of the Liver.

He has authored book chapters, Journal articles and expert topic reviews in his field. This academic focus continues to date as he leads the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Clinical Research Network. In the past, he has served as the Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology at MTW NHS Trust and the Training Programme Director at Health Education KSS leading to a number of Clinical Excellence awards in recognition of his achievements.

As a skilled endoscopist, he offers safe and comfortable procedures that exceed National Quality standards.
