About me

Mr Hall qualified as a doctor in 1995 from St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He completed basic surgical training in Bristol and attained membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000. He spent 18 months gaining experience in Head & Neck cancer care at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London before returning to the South West to complete a further 6 years of specialist training in Ear, Nose and Throat surgery across the region. In 2008 he undertook a 12 month surgical fellowship attached to the Peter Macallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia. During this time he gained specialist skills in head and neck, thyroid and skin cancer surgery and developed a further interest in assessment and management of voice and swallowing disorders. He returned to the UK to take up his consultant appointment in Gloucester in 2009.
Mr Hall is the Co-Chair of the Head and Neck Three Counties Cancer Network for Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. He has an active interest in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education regularly teaching junior doctors and other healthcare professionals. He has peer-reviewed publications on a wide range of ENT topics and continues to take an active interest in clinical research and audit. He continues to keep himself up to date with the latest surgical innovations through courses, conferences and clinical visits. He recently visited the Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation in Boston, USA to learn new laser techniques for voice problems from Professor Steven Zeitels.
