About me

Particular responsibilities within NHS practice are as Medical Simulation Lead for my trust. This means that I am responsible for providing high fidelity training (akin to that of airline pilots) to other anaesthetists and indeed all medical specialities. I have been a pioneer of multidisciplinary team training encouraging closed-loop communication and advocacy-enquiry.
I have spent time with MSF as an anaesthetist working with limited means. This has given me a very real-world outlook and encouraged me to be creative and innovative in my thinking and not just accept things at face value.
I believe that I am an expert in Total Intravenous Anaesthesia which is a fairly modern form of anaesthesia which most patients find more pleasant and has a low rate of side effects.

Areas of interest

General surgery; breast surgery; regional anaesthesia; total intravenous anaesthesia
