About me
Mr Haresh Devalia among the first 10 breast surgeons certified in cosmetic breast surgery under the Royal College of Surgeons of England scheme.
In recognition of their exemplary work on perforator flaps for avoiding mastectomy, Mr Devalia and Mr Dani have won the award of Best Oncoplastic and Aesthetic breast surgeons, England.
Mr Devalia was certified as “Best student at National level in General Surgery” (August 1997) and was awarded a Gold Medal in the final examination for the Diploma of National Board.
Mr Devalia leads and chairs Breast Cancer –Kent ( TSSG) meetings to provide clinically approved, safe, evidence based and appropriate breast care across all NHS Kent hospitals. He takes special interest in education and development of NICE compliant evidence based guidance in breast cancer care.
He is an oncoplastic breast surgeon who takes special interest in teaching various types of breast reconstructions as well as breast aesthetic procedures.
He commenced his higher surgical training in Oxford Deanery and continued as a specialist registrar in Southwest Thames surgical rotation in the London Deanery. He worked as a senior registrar at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
After the completion of his training, he was appointed as a locum Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic surgeon at Royal Marsden Hospital before his substantive appointment at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as the ‘Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon’.
