About me
Professor Nasir A. Quraishi is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and Honorary Professor based in Nottingham, specialising in the assessment and treatment of both common and complex spinal conditions. He has extensive experience in managing neck and back pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, disc prolapse, scoliosis, spinal tumours, spinal trauma, infection and revision spine surgery.
Professor Quraishi has trained in leading spinal centres in the UK and North America and has specialist expertise in minimally invasive, reconstructive and complex spine surgery. He regularly manages patients seeking second opinions and those with challenging spinal conditions requiring specialist assessment and treatment.
His approach is centred on careful diagnosis, clear communication and evidence-based care. He believes patients should fully understand their condition and all available treatment options, including non-surgical approaches, before considering surgery.
Alongside his clinical practice, Professor Quraishi is an award-winning international presenter, author of over 130 peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and a faculty member of several international spine societies. His academic qualifications include a PhD examining outcomes and quality of life following surgery for spinal metastases, a Master of Laws (LLM) with an Honours thesis on Clinical Negligence and the Spine Surgeon, and an Executive MBA in Healthcare with Distinction from the University of Nottingham.
