About me

Mr Nirav Shah undertook his training in orthopaedics and trauma in the South East region at several of the country’s leading teaching hospitals, including Guy’s and Thomas Hospital, King’s College Hospital and the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. He then went on to complete a fellowship position for arthroplasty and revision surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. This was followed by an arthroplasty fellowship at the Furlong Foundation and a fellowship in complex trauma in Hannover, Germany.

Since qualifying in 1993, Mr Shah has gained a wealth of experience in the field of orthopaedics, enabling him to provide his patients with the latest techniques and the highest levels of care and expertise. Mr Shah specialises in all aspects of trauma and orthopaedics affecting the lower limbs including early arthritis, sports injuries, hip dysplasia, laberal tears, meniscal injuries and microfractures and complex revision hip and knee surgeries.

Mr Shah is an examiner for FRCS Orthopaedics for the intercollegiate examination board. Mr Shah taught at Brighton Medical School and was an examiner at the Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School. He worked as an honorary senior lecturer at the University College London and he is currently a reviewer for the JBJS.
