About me

I am a Consultant Clinical & Chartered Psychologist with extensive experience working in the NHS before joining the independent sector in 2011 as the Head of Psychology for a large Inpatient Mental Health Hospital. I left my Head of Service role in September 2019 to focus solely on my Director role at Taylor-Awenat Specialist Psychological Services.

I've received additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Meta Cognitive Therapy, Compassionate Mind Therapy, and completed intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

My specialist area is ACT and I provide clinical training on this to The University of Manchester Clinical Psychology Doctorate and also to clinical teams nationally.

I tailor my approach flexibly to the individual’s presenting difficulties, lifestyle and their treatment preference. I work with both mental health difficulties (such as depression, trauma, anxiety) and physical health (reactions to chronic physical health conditions, CFS, fibromyalgia, weight management, etc). I also work with clients who have no clinical disorder as such but who are looking to improve their work or sports performance, relationships or general wellbeing. Please feel free to contact my Practice Manager, Jenny to arrange a no-obligation telephone discussion with me to discuss your options.
