About me

I have been an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist since 2008 and have worked in mental health since 1993. My background is as a mental health nurse where I found my passion for helping people with their difficulties. In order to further the help I could offer and to develop a deeper understanding of emotional and psychological problems, I went on to complete my training as a CBT therapist in 2005. I worked in the NHS for many years, working with people on an individual basis and in groups before starting in private practice. I offer therapy sessions face-to-face and online. I continue my professional development by regularly attending courses and training. I have attended training in Schema Therapy and courses on Compassion Focused Therapy which are of particular interest to me.
