About me
Dr Nicol is on the specialist register for Sport and Exercise Medicine with the GMC and is recognised as one of the leading and most experienced Doctors in World Rugby. He was the Match Day Doctor for the World Cup Final in 2015 and has since then supported both Scottish Rugby and the RFU at Twickenham in this role. He has also worked with Team GB at both Tokyo and Rio Olympics, Team Scotland at the last three Commonwealth Games, and a variety of other multi-sport games.
Having played age-grade rugby for Scotland, Dr Nicol suffered too many injuries to continue playing, so now focuses on managing them. After over 30 years in the Army, including service with The Parachute Regiment and the Special Forces he is experienced in musculoskeletal, expeditionary and activity-related injuries. Committed to getting the nation more active.
