About me

Qualified from the University of Southampton 1996, and went on to carry out basic science research in tissue engineering, for which a doctorate in medicine (MD) was awarded from Newcastle University in 2005.
Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and on the specialist register for Urology
Trained in the North East and the Freeman Hospital Newcastle prior to taking up post in North Cumbria as a Consultant Urological surgeon in 2009 and clinical lead. Was the lead for Urological cancer in the Northern cancer network, prior to appointment in Glasgow as a urologist working at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Gartnavel General Hospital. I have been the network lead for cancer in the West of Scotland and hold a Honorary Senior clinical Lecture post at the Univerity of Glasgow. In addition to a broad based practise in Urology covering 'simple' scrotal lumps and bumps,foreskin problems, I have a specialist inteerest in minimal Invasive surgery ( TURP,REZUM,THUFLEP) endo urology and stones, oncology and infertility.
