About me

Andrew Gray's is an orthopaedic trauma specialist who is based in South Tees (James Cook University Hospital). He is also a knee specialist who does primary knee replacements and key hole arthroscopic surgery for cartilage tears. He is the current president of the UK Orthopaedic Trauma Society (Orthopaedic Trauma Society). He completed his medical and orthopaedic surgical training in Glasgow, Oxford and Edinburgh, finishing an MD and also a year's trauma fellowship in Calgary. Mr Gray has been a major trauma consultant for 17 years; lower limb trauma editor for the journal 'Injury' 2014-2021; clinical director south tees orthopaedic department 2018-2021 and AO faculty since 2010. Over the past 5 years he has worked with the global and UK Fragility Fracture Networks (Home - Fragility Fracture Network) focusing on the 4 pillars of fragility fracture management - acute care, rehabilitation, secondary fracture prevention and policy. Has a medical legal practice in the Northeast of England and has main specialist interest in dealing with poly traumatised patients.
