About me
Mr Krupa is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Glenfield General Hospital with a private One-Stop Breast Clinic at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital, Spire Leicester and Spire Nottingham Hospitals.
Mr Krupa graduated from Medical University of Warsaw in 1995 and continued his postgraduate training at University College London Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital. He obtained his PhD in minimally invasive surgery and was awarded an Oncoplastic Surgery Fellowship at the National Institute of Cancer in Milan, one of the most prestigious breast cancer centres.
Mr Krupa has a special interest in the modern treatment of breast cancer, particularly reconstruction after mastectomy as well as oncoplastic procedures allowing breast conserving surgery and excellent cosmetic outcome in breast cancer patients. He is trained in a wide variety of procedures such as skin-sparing/reducing mastectomy, breast reduction, mastopexy, sentinel node biopsy and various types of breast reconstruction.
Mr Krupa has a One-Stop Breast Clinic and his dedicated breast care team offer swift diagnosis of breast lumps, bumps or concerns - all in one visit. The service is available to men and women.
This easy to access service combines all the necessary tests to diagnose breast problems including a clinical breast examination, mammograms, ultrasound scans and cytology with immediate reporting providing rapid diagnosis and reassurance for the vast majority of patients. You can expect to be with us for up to 2 hours on day and refreshments are available free of charge to you and anyone attending with you.
Mr Krupa's dedicated and caring breast team includes Mr Krupa, Dr David Purnell (Pathologist), Dr Miaad Al-Attar (Radiologist), Susan Orgill, Breast Care Nurse Specialist and Susan Freer (Senior Radiographer).
