About me
I am one of the consultant cardiologists based at The Great Western Hospital and was appointed to the Great Western Hospital in 2009.
As well as treating emergency cardiology patients and carrying out emergency procedures, I also have regular outpatient clinics. I am part of the heart failure team and undertake device therapy (pacemakers (special interest conduction system / left bundle area pacing), defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation devices.
All procedures including complications are uploaded to the national audit databases for cardiology.
I work closely with my colleagues. I have an on going interest in cardiology research and enjoy collaboration with colleagues and patients to advance learning. I have been involved in both device and pharmacology studies.
In 2019 I was elected to the council of the British Heart Rhythm Society. I was clinical lead for cardiology at The Great Western Hospital.
