About me
Mr Magdy Nawar (MBBCh, FRCOG) is a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician based at North West London University Hospitals NHS Trust, and is the Gynaecology lead for London North West University Hospitals. He is also the minimal access (keyhole surgery) lead in the department. He has more than 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, and has special skills accreditation in laparoscopic/Robotic and hysteroscopic surgery for treatment of fibroids, pelvic pain, endometriosis, infertility and menstrual disorders.
He is currently the Menopause lead at London North West University Hospitals.
Mr Nawar has special expertise in the investigation and treatment of Fibroids, heavy and irregular periods. To investigate abnormal bleeding, including post-menopausal bleeding, he performs diagnostic hysteroscopy to visualise the inside of the womb. He offers various treatment options for heavy and irregular periods, including the use of the Mirena Intrauterine System, Sonata Radiofrequency, and NovaSure endometrial ablation.
Mr Nawar believes in the importance of patient choice and offering a range of treatment options, empowering patients to reach suitable treatment decisions tailored for their needs.
