About me
Dr Rajakariar following completion of his undergraduate training at Leciester Medical school, undertook his nephrology training at the prestigious Barts Hospital, one of the largest renal units in Europe where he is now Clinical Director for Renal Services as well as the Deputy Clincal Lead for the London Kidney Network. His clinical responsibilities include General Neprology, Transplantation and Haemodialysis. At Barts he leads a dedicated Renal Lupus clinic jointly with the rheumatologist for patients with Lupus nephritis. He is also the lead clinician for the regional plasma exchange service, an important treatment option for vasculitis. He continues to have an active interest in research and is an investigator for multicenter clinical trials in lupus. Dr Ravi is also actively involved undergraduate and post graduate education. He speaks in regional meetings to GPs on chronic kidney disease and hypertension.
