About me

I trained in London at The Atkinson Morley's Hospital, The National Hospital for Nervous Diseases and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 1985.

Aside from my extensive clinic experience, I am also closely involved in the activities of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) and served as Honorary secretary from 2000 to 2004. I am currently a member of the council of the society in my role as the NICE co-ordinator for the Society. I am a member of the Surgical Specialty Board of the joint Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

I am an Examiner for the FRCS neurosurgery in the UK as well for the International FRCS.

I am the Clinical Lead for Neuro-vascular conditions at the Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.
