About me
Dr Stuart Cairns is a Consultant Physician and specialist in Gastroenterology.
He trained at King's College Hospital, London, and later did higher medical training in Cambridge, The Middlesex and University College Hospitals in London. In 1988 he was appointed Consultant in Gastroenterology and General (Internal) Medicine to the Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. He has been Director of the Brighton Endoscopy Training Centre and Honorary Lecturer to the Brighton & Sussex Medical School. He was until 2020 Clinical Director of the Sussex Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
