About me

My background is based in general paediatrics with several sub-specialty interests over a period of more than 40 years. I have previously held NHS consultant posts in Craigavon Area Hospital, Belvoir Park Hospital and currently The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC) and Musgrave Park Hospital. I was Clinical Director in RBHSC. My general practice encompasses common paediatric problems including tummy pain, constipation, chesty problems, unsettled babies, growth and development, poor weight gain, short stature, bowel problems, headaches, lethargy, recurrent infections, urine infections as well as any general concerns. An important element of my practice is to take a holistic approach in assessment of a clinical situation and planning management. A cornerstone of my approach is to communicate my assessment and proposed management in a straightforward and understandable way.
