About me

I have over 15 years’ experience as a humanistic-existential psychotherapist and counsellor. Integrations include cognitive behavioural therapy [CBT], schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy [DBT], transactional analysis [TA], narrative analysis, psychodynamic, person-centred, gestalt, transpersonal and mindfulness based approaches.
I offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can share and explore present and past experiences, express thoughts and feelings gaining personal awareness, become assertive enjoying a better quality of life, robust mental health, improved well-being and positive relationships with friends, parents, siblings, children and work.

My clinical training began at an NHS Outpatient Department of Psychotherapy & Art Psychotherapy specialising in Personality Disorders. I also completed an MSc in Psychology and held positions lecturing in Forensic Psychology and Counselling at a University in addition to six years tutoring and as Course Lead on a BACP Accredited Gold Standard Counselling Diploma. I have also held positions as Clinical Lead, Team leader, Group Facilitator, Domestic Violence Lead, Trainer, Developer and Lead on Transtheoretical and Structured Day Care programmes in the field of Alcohol and Substance Misuse. I have also delivered training to doctors, nurses, psychologists and educators in therapeutic relationship, group dynamics, group facilitation and focused interventions including harm reduction to the Probation Service and associated Offender Services within the Criminal Justice System.

Alongside clinical work I also offer coaching, management training, supervision and continuing professional development (“CPD”) in a variety of interventions and specialist interest topics including attachment in relationships, substance misuse, anxiety, anger, personality disorders and disordered eating.
