About me

Mr Jalgaonkar is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Hip & Knee Surgery. He performs minimally invasive Hip and Knee surgery (MIS) including the AMIS Total Hip replacement and Keyhole Hip surgery (Hip Arthroscopy)

Mr Jalgaonkar completed his Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in London and has worked at specialistOrthopaedic centres such as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore and Great Ormond Street Hospital for children. Azal has a Masters degree in Orthopaedics and is dual fellowship trained. He was appointed as Consultant at Frimley Park Hospital after successfully undertaking the Royal College of Surgeons approved Lower limb fellowship.

Mr Jalgaonkar has received prizes at Orthopaedic meetings and has published his work extensively in highly reputed peer reviewed Orthopaedic Journals. His is dedicated towards research and is currently involved in two National Trials. He has presented his work at numerous National and International meetings and conferences. Mr Jalgaonkar regularly sits on the KSS ARCP panel to assess the annual clinical progress of higher surgical orthopaedic trainees and is a faculty member at FRCS (Orth) courses. He relishes any opportunity to teach and train junior trainee surgeons and is a clinical and educational supervisor.
